Heavy Vehicle Deisel Mechanic
Fred’s (Interstate Transport Pty Ltd) has been providing trusted transport and logistics solutions to leading Australian businesses since 1978. To support the ongoing maintenance of our modern fleet, we are seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing, servicing and repairing Kenworth trucks, trailers and associated equipment to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and air-conditioning systems.
- Maintaining accurate inspection, service and repair records.
- Supporting a strong safety-first culture in all workshop activities.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Certificate III as a Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) or equivalent.
- Proven heavy vehicle servicing and repairs experience (minimum 5 years preferred).
- Experience maintaining Kenworth trucks and Cummins X15 engines advantageous.
- Sound diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication.
- HR/HC licence desirable but not essential.
- Basic electrical, hydraulic, welding, fabrication and painting skills are beneficial.

Operations Support Coordinator – Interstate Transport
We are currently seeking a highly organised Operations & Administration Support professional to act as the primary assistant and 2IC to the General Manager of Operations. This role is the backbone of our day-to-day business, ensuring the GM is supported and the interstate fleet remains moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Support: Manage the GM of Operations’ diary, emails, travel and accommodation.
- Operations Liaison: Act as a key point of contact between the GM of Operations, drivers and external stakeholders.
- Compliance & Records: Assist with NHVR compliance documentation, driver records, and reporting.
- Systems Admin: Daily use of Transvirtual for freight management and Microsoft Office for general administration.
- Communication: Handle phone enquiries, correspondence, and operational updates in a fast-paced environment.
About You
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in a transport or logistics role is highly regarded.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential and experience with Transvirtual is advantageous.
- Industry Knowledge: An understanding of B-Double operations and NHVR requirements.
- Attributes: You are a problem-solver who can work autonomously and handle the high-pressure nature of interstate logistics.

Accounts Receivable & Transport Administrator
We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Transport Administrator to join our team.
This is a dual-function role, combining accounts receivable responsibilities with operational support tasks. You will play a key role in maintaining cash flow, managing customer accounts, and supporting the day-to-day administrative requirements of a busy transport operation.
This role reports directly to the CFO and works closely with both finance and operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong cash flow management across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
- Raise and process invoices using Transvirtual
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Reconcile customer accounts and payments
- Manage remittances and resolve billing discrepancies
- Provide updates on aged debtors and overdue accounts
Operations & Admin Support
- Upload and manage Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation across multiple customer platforms
- Communicate with drivers to obtain PODs and resolve missing paperwork
- Liaise with customers regarding delivery documentation and invoice queries
- Assist with general transport administration and documentation
- Support the operations team with day-to-day coordination tasks
About You
- Experience in Accounts Receivable, admin, or transport operations
- Confident following up payments and handling customer communication
- Comfortable dealing with drivers and operational staff
- Strong attention to detail, especially with documentation
- Able to manage multiple systems and tasks simultaneously
- Experience with Transvirtual or similar systems is highly regarded
- Reliable, organised, and proactive
